AI Dropshipping Product Research and Validation Tool

Stop guessing. Start scoring.

Most product tests cost $200–$500 in ad spend, and at a 5–10% success rate that's $2,000–$10,000 before finding a winner — know before you spend.

Most tools stop at a verdict. greenLightScore gives you the score, the financial breakdown, and 3 ready-to-run ad hooks — free, no signup, in 15 seconds.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the greenLightScore and how is it calculated?

The greenLightScore is a 0–100 verdict on whether a product is worth launching right now. It combines six weighted signals: Profit Margin (25%), Lifecycle Stage (20%), Market Demand (20%), Supplier Risk (15%), Competition Level (10%), and Creative Potential (10%). Profit margin carries the most weight because it determines whether you can survive long enough to learn from the launch. Verdict bands: 70–100 Launch Now, 40–69 Proceed with Caution, 0–39 Don’t launch this yet.

Does greenLightScore use live marketplace data like AliExpress or Amazon sales figures?

No. Your Financial Snapshot (margin, breakeven, suggested pricing) is calculated directly from the numbers you enter — it's math, not a guess. Your 6-signal score and verdict are generated by AI trained on market and advertising patterns, and we tell you that plainly. We're not pretending to be a live-data scraper — we're a fast, transparent second opinion before you spend on ads.

Is the data live market data or AI-generated analysis?

Reports are AI-generated analysis, not a live market data feed. The model reasons over the product inputs you provide (name, category, platform, COGS, price, ad budget) plus its training signal about how comparable products tend to perform. Every signal in your report comes with a one-sentence explanation — you'll see why we rated Supplier Risk high or low, what's driving Market Demand, and what's dragging down Profit Margin, so you're never just looking at a number with no reasoning behind it. Treat the output as a structured second opinion, not a source of real-time sales figures — always do your own due diligence.

How is greenLightScore different from other product validation tools?

Most validation tools stop at a yes-or-no verdict. greenLightScore gives you the verdict AND what to do next: a full financial breakdown (margin, breakeven, suggested pricing) plus 3 ready-to-run ad hooks and 4 offer angles you can use immediately. You're not just finding out if a product might work — you're walking away with the creative assets to test it.

How is this different from researching manually?

greenLightScore returns a standardized 0–100 launch verdict in about 15 seconds, while manual research takes hours and leaves you with an unstructured judgment call. You can see the full comparison.

How accurate is the greenLightScore?

The score is a structured, reasoned estimate — not a guarantee. It's built to reduce guessing, not eliminate risk: no scoring tool, including this one, can predict a specific outcome with certainty. Treat a high score as a strong reason to look closer, not a promise of results. Always validate further before spending significantly on ads.

What information do I need to run a score?

Four inputs: product name, category, platform, and COGS and selling price, plus your ad budget. No existing store or live ad campaign is required to run your first score. Try it free — no signup required.

Is there a free version of greenLightScore?

Yes. Run a free product score with no signup and no card required — you'll see your full 0–100 score and verdict immediately. Unlocking the Financial Snapshot and Creative Launch Brief (ad hooks + offer angles) is also free, just requires an email. Free use is limited to 3 reports per 24 hours.

Will this product be profitable at my price point?

The greenLightScore's Financial Snapshot calculates net margin, break-even sales/day, and a suggested price at 3x COGS from the inputs you provide — before any ad spend. It shows whether the unit economics can support paid traffic before you commit budget to a campaign.

Will this product actually find buyers?

Every greenLightScore includes Market Demand and Creative Potential as two of the six weighted signals. Market Demand estimates real audience pull, while Creative Potential judges how well the product can be explained and sold through short-form ads.

What do the Solo, Operator, and Agency plans cost?

Solo is $9/month ($90/year, 30 reports/month). Operator is $36.90/month ($369/year, 120 reports/month). Agency is $90/month ($900/year, 320 reports/month). Yearly billing saves roughly 17% versus paying monthly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal, and changes take effect from your next billing period. See full plan details on the pricing page.

Is PDF export available on every plan?

PDF export is included on Operator and Agency, not Solo. Solo is built for quick, in-app validation; Operator and Agency are for operators who need to share or archive reports with a team, supplier, or client.

How does Vault saving work, and what happens to reports I run before signing up?

Reports you run while signed in are saved to your Vault automatically and available across devices. Reports you run before creating an account are tied to your browser session; when you sign up, those anonymous reports are linked to your new account so nothing is lost. Anonymous use is rate-limited to 3 free reports per 24 hours by IP.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Open the Billing page from the in-app menu. From there you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel — the change is handled through our payment provider's secure customer portal. Cancellations stay active until the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.

Can I get a refund if it's not for me?

Refund/cancellation terms are covered in full in our Refund & Cancellation policy.

How is my data used? Do you sell it?

No. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Account data and reports are stored with row-level security so only you can access yours. Product inputs are sent to our AI provider strictly to generate your report. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Is dropshipping still worth it right now?

Viability depends on the specific product, not the business model as a whole. A per-product greenLightScore is far more useful than a blanket answer because it checks margin, demand, competition, and creative potential for the exact item you're considering. If you're unsure, try a free score and let the numbers guide the decision.
